Meet the Team
Every month we highlight a different team member from one of our departments at National Design Mart. These hardworking individuals are the backbone of our company! Learn a little bit about them and what they do here, then stop in to meet them in person!
Steve Henthorn – Our Featured Team Member
As National’s Visual Merchandising expert, Steve helps customers visualize our products in their home. Always excited to see the new styles that come in, Steve designs the different vignettes throughout our store to show the various styles we offer.
“My best day at work is when customers compliment my creative displays,” says Steve. Steve started out at National Design Mart working in the warehouse and worked his way up to merchandising, sample displays and Christmas décor. In his personal time, Steve enjoys remodeling his home with new styles, gardening and also traveling.

Katie Kelly
A customer service manager at National Design Mart, Katie helps provide a welcoming environment and exceptional customer experiences. Katie also helps to get helpful feedback from customers so that we can continue to improve and grow.
Katie said she’s happiest when “customers call me just to say how pleased they are.” When she’s not helping to exceed our customers’ expectations, Katie enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Michele Calloway
As part of National’s purchasing department, Michele helps customer products get ordered and delivered quickly and accurately. Michele works alongside our sales team to get special orders to the customer, ensuring each customer order is processed with concern and care.
Michele loves the opportunity to help fulfill customers’ design dreams. In her personal time, Michele enjoys spending time with her family going to see movies and plays!
Taylor Gibson
Taylor is a Project Manager at National Design Mart specializing in flooring for new construction residential homes with custom builder accounts. Taylor meets with customers to make product selections and she estimates, schedules, & manages these projects through completion.
Taylor’s best day at work is “when our work lives up to our customer’s dream inspiration.” A believer in “hard work pays off”. When Taylor is not hard at work, you can find her spending time with friends & family or competing at US Eventing Horse Trials with her horse!
Mark Kulbaga
Mark is an Account Manager who handles builder and retail sales. As a representative of National, Mark assists with selection, service and pricing. Mark is an ardent believer in great service and strives to go above and beyond for our customers.
Mark’s best day at work? He says it’s when “all customers are happy.” When Mark’s not working hard at National, you can find him working hard on the baseball field coaching! Mark also enjoys spending time with his family.
Kaycee Fracasso
Kaycee is a project manager at National Design Mart who manages new construction and residential homes with builder accounts, meets with customers, put together quotes and more. Kaycee loves learning about the industry and gives 100% every day at work!
Kaycee says her best day at work is “when everything runs smoothly at job sites.” In addition to helping projects go without a hitch for our customers, Kaycee enjoys working on projects in her home during her spare time. With family in Buffalo, NY, Kaycee also loves taking trips to visit them.
Russell Crall
Russell started out as a flooring salesperson back in 2017 and is now a multi-family project manager. Russell focuses on providing customers with an enjoyable and informational experience when choosing their flooring. “I am excited to be part of such an amazing team that we have here at National Design Mart,” said Russell.
Russell’s best day at work is when customers leave with a smile. Outside of working hard to make our customers happy at National, Russell enjoys being outside and spending time with his three daughters!
Brooke Howell
Brooke is an Interior Designer who provides commercial and retail customers building or remodeling their home with functional, budget-conscious and aesthetically pleasing choices. She believes that listening to a customer’s wants and needs and having the ability to work with any style preference is key to being a successful designer.
Before joining our team in 2014 and helping us design the interior of the new National Design Mart, Brooke graduated from Kent State University’s Interior Design program in 2010. When she’s not helping our customers design their dream spaces, you can find Brooke enjoying her personal time with her children and family!
Tom Knitter
Meet Tom! Our Cabinet Division Director, Tom Knitter oversees our cabinet designers and designs for builders and multi-family contractors to ensure they are always getting the products and service they need.
Tom says National “offers our customers cabinets at any price point” and he enjoys finding builders and contractors the cabinets that fit their needs, wants, and budget. In his personal time, Tom enjoys time with his family and supporting Medina sports teams.
Lisa Shoaff
Meet Lisa! Our Training Manager. Lisa has been a team member at National Design Mart and previously National Carpet Mill Outlet for 12 years! Providing our team with the knowledge and skills to assist our Customers create the home designs they imagine.
Lisa coordinates training with our Vendors, to bring product knowledge to our entire team, so customers can make informed decisions about what will work best in their space. She is an ardent believer in “doing things right” and trains with customer service always at the forefront of every class.
